What I have observed .... 64 years

From my earliest days I have witnessed events that caused me to flinch at the time...
***
Blowing up frogs
More than ONE Religion?
Youth Sports ... the day everybody got to play
The Day of Minimum Wage
A society of Cars, Air Conditioning & McDonalds
The end of walking and bicycles
The end of the #2 Pencil and the brown lunch bag for school
Puffing, ok in Advertising, then OK in everything?
Computers, making us only a number
Civil Service, no longer "civil"
Professionals got to advertise un-restrained
The birth of Politically Correct
A special section for Smoking
Security becomes only an illusion
Two family incomes required, thus loss of family teaching
Sexual Harassment, Feminists & "Equal" Opportunity
Pharmaceutical Samples in the Doctor's Office
Do facts matter, or are facts merely an inconvenience?
Spin....or just "Politically Correct" lies?
The day that I first heard "HPO"
The End of Neighborhood Halloween
Propaganda in the US, return of the Bards
Zoning, a community death
Why use an Expert (Are there really any Experts, anyway?)
Christmas as Politically Incorrect
Authority openly abuses position
Authority no longer respected
"Without Malice" no longer a consideration
The day the US Congress sanctioned lying
Political Parties openly become malicious Political Labor Unions
Announcements in Spanish at Love Field in Dallas
College Graduations without the National Anthem
The AT&T Incontinence Depends Bowl
Professionals as Rock Stars. Really?
Faceless "Management"
iPhones and iPads

All of the above began as seemingly harmless, insignificant events/actions or philosophies... Each morphed into a new life of its own. Once the line is crossed, the new concept becomes the precedent, the original concepts/values are forgotten and lost. Seldom is the origin ever revisited or re-evaluated. There are becoming fewer and fewer left that remember what actually works.
